I am not making this up: two different people stopped me on the street this wkend to ask where I get my hair cut.
Take my advice: go to Bleu sur Bleu and ask for Arsen.
He is amazingly talented, I just received the greatest haircut EVER. Seriously. Fresh, up-to-date style and technique from a true professional.

Raj is a God with the scissors! You simply cannot get a better cut on this side of the Atlantic. Add to the mix that he genuinely cares about his customers and was able to create a relaxing, friendly and warm atmosphere at the shop and you have the best salon in town.

I've been going to Raj for years. He works magic on my baby fine hair.
When he changed salons, I went to someone else.
My hair looked like it was cut by a drunk person. It was crooked and since the texture is so fine, all the mistakes could be seen. My friends were alarmed by this terrible haircut. They quickly began knitting me hats.
So it's no exageration to say that my heart (and hair) leapt with joy when I found Raj again. That same night, I went to him and once again my hair smiled. I also had my brunette hair colored and highlighted by Yelena. She painted beautiful golden tones with the most subtle and natural touch. Now my hair shimmers as if it has been touched by the summer sun. She's amazing. She is an artist, indeed. -

Arsen is always fantastic with the layers esp when I kept my hair really short, and now I'm growing it out, he's such a great big help as well! I have not ever been disappointed with the results of his work. Everyone at the salon is really friendly and I have never felt neglected at the salon and look forward to my next visit.

Arsen is great! He gave me a few suggestions for a cut and gave my hair a fantastic, lighter feel for the summer. I stumbled upon bleu sur bleu on my walk back from the train and I will definitely be back.
Raj and the rest of the staff are very friendly and run a great salon! -

This is a terrific place with very talented stylists and an attentive staff. I love love love my new haircut and was amazed by how enjoyable the experience was. Usually, I am terrified that I will get a terrible cut and worry that the stylist is not listening to what I want. Raj, the owner, is extremely talented (a hair genius?), very consultative and has a great eye that enhances his ability to create a very flattering, unique and beautiful look. He spends time to listen, assess, understand you and your lifestyle, and then cuts, refines, textures, etc. And his staff, who clearly recognize his expertise, help out, attend to your needs and learn from the master! This is done rather discreetly so it took me some time to notice that the other stylists were learning from Raj. Also, the woman who shampooed my hair was a colorist who gave me great tips on caring for my hair. I highly recommend bleu sur bleu, and look forward to going back. What a great great place, and right here, on the upper east side.

Had the most wonderful experience here! My hair was in bad shape: many colors (the previous dye job was too bright and needed correction), gray hairs ran amok! Yelena skillfully blended the colors to the most beautiful shade of medium brown with golden highlights - I am a new woman! All the staff is friendly and listens to your requests. Jose Antonio gave me the diva stylin' I needed for my Gala event - many compliments followed!! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

All I can say is wow!!!
Trust me when I tell you to go to to bleu sur bleu and ask for Eli to give you the most amazing haircut and blow dry that you have EVER had. I am very picky with my hair and who styles my hair. His work is AMAZING! I can't be happier with the way my hair looks! Thanks Eli!! -
